It is not about upsetting anyone or offending anyone. None of the cases brought are about someone being upset. It is about the govt endorsing any religion. Displaying words is always an endorsement of those words. People don't put saying on their fridge because they are neutral to what the words mean. Businesses use and post slogans like, "The customer comes first." because they endorse what those words stand for. You have simply stated that it is dumb to believe it is an endorsement. How about some actual logic and reasoning? An example of why the state should not endorse a religion is the way I've been treated on this board for having a contrary opinion. I have been vilified and asked to leave the country. This is what is at the bottom fo the slippery slope of the state establishing a religion. jb
