Good - I love FTTH - I want it now (have for years) but as it is expensive to install - all that FO cable being laid everywhere - about $1000/home, it is slow in coming. I want the TV (hundreds of channels), internet (super broadband speed) and phone service all on my FO cable and am willing to pay for it. I presently pay ~ $100/mo. for my TV and internet from a cable company and ~$30/month for telephone. Now, if they give me all that in one wire for $130/month (or more if need be - it IS a super service!!!!) I'll be a happy camper. As to VWKM - it looks to me like they are talking about feeding that system in Houston 1 channel. So be it. It's a start. And they have that channel in Orlando, FL. But FTTH is the way of the future. Info by the ton - how I envy those school kids in learning with such a system at their finger tips! Now, if VWKM establishes a TEACHING channel - WOW. I think/know that China, for one, intends on using high speed FO throughout their nation and the results will be impressive. We need to move fast just to keep up.
