YET another high profile nomination of the US President George W Bush appears to have run into problems. The nomination of the White House Counsel Harriet E Miers for the prestigious job of Supreme Court judge appears to have not only taken the opposition groups, media and ordinary Americans by surprise but also has rankled the Republicans, President Bush’s own party.
