Korea like Japan are and were both spelled by the use of "Kanji" or modified "Kanji" just to use the Japanese expression for the Chinese characters.

Good point. How could Korea be spelled with a "C" when they don't use the alphabet? It's like claiming Russia was spelled with one "S" 100 years ago, when the Russian's didn't even use the alphabet!
