The decrease in retail sales should be seen as good news to relieve anxiety concerning inflation. The PPI was expected to be around 0.3 percent as it was known that increasing energy prices would boost this number and as long as it was 0.3% +/- 0.2% no problem was seen. This should be GOOD for the market.
