It is amazing how the right extremists have perfected the art practiced by Goebbelian propaganda. Day in and day out they have been spewing lies on radio and TV. And they do it so consistently that they get the simple minded folks in the red states to start believing in what they keep hammering over the air waves. These simple minded folks seriously believe that Saddam was involved with 9/11. They do not believe that Osama was the mastermind. But the day of reckoning has come. Weekend talk shows had Billy Kristol, Pat Robertson, Pat Buchanan fuming, frustrated and baffled by Bush's choice of Meirs as the SC nominee. Time will tell.
