1. Get out of Iraq immediately. Will you take responsibility for the thousands (tens of thousands?) who will die as a result of the civil war that will follow? How will that play out on CNN and Al Jazira?? How will that play out on the "Arab Street".. And what kind of signal will you send to the Al Qai'da folks who suddenly discovered that people like you don't "have the belly" for their kind of suicidal warfare?? Do you think they will leave us alone?? Don't you think that would fuel the "Jihadist" fire throughout the region, let alone the world?? They just made the US tuck tail and run... Allah Akbar!!! Do you let the Al Qaida folks have their own little homeland in Iraq, fueled by enormous petro dollars and the will and desire to use the profits to develop chemical and biological weapons? . Use funds from military savings to make us energy independent by 2012. Great idea!!.. I love the idea of energy independence. I'm a big believer in Hydrogen after all.. But the logistics/economics of that dictate that it will take several decades to build the infrastructure necessary, including nuclear plants that can provide the electricity to split that naught water molecule into hydrogen and oxygen.. In the mean time, what does the rest of the world do for energy? Can they afford the type of energy "Mahattan Project" your talking about? Will their dependence upon fossil fuels make them EVEN MORE "compliant" with those Islamic militants you just permitted to come to power in the Middle East? China? Forced to concede to the power of the Islamo-Fascists lest their economic growth diminish and their financial "house of cards" collapse?? Good idea.. Force China to have become more aggressive towards securing it energy needs. Methinks that YOU'RE the one who needs to "figure out the details".. Because THAT'S WHERE the devil lies.. Hawk
