Pleven. The District Epizootic Committee has received three signals of dead birds, found in the region – a heron in Pleven, a stork in Disevitsa village and a hen in Debovo village. The birds have been collected and sent in for analysis. The results will be announced in a week. According to Dr. Nikolai Iliev from the State Veterinary Sanitary Control, the dead birds’ cases are not precedent for this region and it is too early to state that they died from bird flu virus. Specific measures for fight against bird flue were taken in the end of September in Pleven district, when the District Administration on Epizooties was in session.
