The Muslims who are killing US soldiers feel empowered, not oppressed. You may not like the religion, but thinking about it in the black and white way you do is not going to help you understand the world- and understanding the world is step one to improving it (imo, of course- you may feel ignorant bunglers can improve things, and you could probably even marshall some evidence for that, if you wanted to, but on balance, I'm going to say it's better not to make stupid broad sweeping statements, like the one in your post, and it's even worse if you actually believe that, and the very worst thing is to take action on the basis of sheer ignorance.)

And the ancient days of Shylock? I've got to ask, whatever do you mean by that?
