Seems to me trying to apply a label to a Supreme court judge is foolish anyhow. I think what the PEOPLE want is a no nonsense judge who will follow the law as proscribed in the Constitution and the Countries laws since enacted by Congress. PERIOD. What the PEOPLE do NOT WANT is a judge that attempts to MAKE NEW LAW where non exists and which the people are opposed. Example, gay marraige. In the states where THEIR supreme courts allowed it, its been OBVIOUS it goes AGAINST THE GRAIN of the PEOPLE and the EXISTING LAW. Those are the type of judges WE DO NOT WANT. If following the law is called CONSERVATIVE so be it, but to me its just called HONESTY. jdn
