So what's your point Dan3? Is it about Benchmarks or Business?

Why doesn't Dell use the architecturally superior AMD processor in any of it's product lines?

What's the business case for doing so?

What market segments are they missing out on?

More importantly, what are the size of these segments in terms of volume, revenue and profitability?

How many of these would actually be new customers who aren't cannibalizing existing sales of Intel boxes? (This is a very important distinction).

Is Dell's R&D infrastructure scalable enough to handle the sequestering of development teams, labs, equipment and other resources required to protect AMD and Intel's intellectual property and appropriately honor non-disclosure agreements?

If not, how much would it cost to do so and what would the return on investment be?

How much leverage can Dell utilize from existing form factors and mechanical chassis design?

And there's more... much, much more.... but I'll stop here.
