ASML sees H1 avg selling price slightly below bookings Wed Oct 12, 2005 04:35 AM ET AMSTERDAM, Oct 12 (Reuters) - Dutch chip equipment maker ASML (ASML.AS: Quote, Profile, Research) (ASML.O: Quote, Profile, Research) expects average selling prices in the second half to be slightly below the level of current bookings, Chief Executive Eric Meurice said on Wednesday. "In the first half of 2006, the average selling price should be a bit lower than the level we're booking at now," Meurice said.
Chief Financial Officer Peter Wennink said it would be below 15.8 million euros ($19 million), the average price of third-quarter bookings.
Analysts were worried about ASML's average selling price, which ASML said is expected to slip to an average of 13 million euros for new systems from 15 million in the third quarter.
"Q4 is highly incidental," Wennink said, adding the average price should be expected to rise in coming quarters. |
