I hope I'm permitted to say this, but is it possible that people seek to be "left" or "right", rich or poor, this or that...because of a sociological need to seem superior--that is to say--to have their lives stand for something in their own minds?

It seems to me that biologically people need to know who the "bad guy" is. If by "center" you mean simply that you don't want your partisanship to be shouted openly--well, fine. But perhaps you mean you are non-partisan?

As a Canadian, I am probably missing something in this issue. Do you have a "centrist" political party in the United States? Or is your political choice to step left or to step right? If you have a link to a site that explains the agenda of centrism, I would appreciate it.

I guess I find the lack of engagement disappointing. "Me, too" might be a nice way to get a date, but it hardly creates the challenge of learning nor does it challenge us to question what we think we know that just ain't so.

Well, I appreciate you for allowing me to put in my two cents worth. Please carry on...
