John, RE: "must have been a cash account at ameritrade."

It was a regular Ameritrade brokerage account the poster had.

His situation has a good ending: the FBI acted aggressively to his request for help and they arrested the thief and his money was returned. But with absolutely zero assistance from Ameritrade - Ameritrade enabled the theft. They also would not help him get in touch with the FBI - Ameritrade had a "tough luck" attitude.

RE: "do you have an address of the si post? i did a search"

You could post your question to the threads I read to find the SI poster's alias. Start with the threads my bookmarked posters tend to hang out at, then click on the other posters (from the threads where the bookmarked posters hang out) and then go to those threads, so start with:

* misheldo hangs out at the credit bubble thread (possible location)
- so click on the posters to his threads but then go to the threads that the posters on this thread tend to hang out at, and ask there. (most likely location)
* Elroy Jetson
* Lizzie hangs out at the New Economy thread so try there (doubtful)
* I have a bunch of other people bookmarked but those are the most likely start points to reach the threads that would eventually lead you to the thread with the post.

RE: "9/22"

The post was well prior to 9/22. Do you have advanced search?

Regards,
Amy J
