Chinese Biotech Firm American Oriental Bioengineering (AOBO) Achieves ISO9001 Certification
HONG KONG, Mar 11, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- American Oriental Bioengineering, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: AOBO), today announced it has achieved ISO9001 certification for its multi-functional beverage and soybean protein peptide manufacturing facilities and processes. The International Standardization Organization quality management standard, ISO9001, is a set of internationally recognized quality management system requirements that provide guidelines for consistent quality management practices across international borders.

The certification means that American Oriental Bioengineering meets the applicable ISO quality standards. American Oriental Bioengineering's facilities and manufacturing processes were reviewed by the Beijing Zhongjing Quality Certification Co. Ltd. and were found to be in full compliance with the ISO9001 quality standards.

Shujun Liu, Chief Executive Officer of American Oriental Bioengineering, commented, "We are extremely proud of this accomplishment given the high quality standards required for ISO certification.
