Good points. I saw an article indicating that Country Wide, one of the biggest US mortgage issuers, had already sliced up a portion of their interest-only mortgage portfolio into tranches, and sold a few billions of the riskiest tranches to Europeans who are hungry for yield. Being in cash - October tends to be the killer of bear markets. Some of the technical people are starting to look for a possible breakout to the upside, after a little more grinding lower.
