Only the Kurds need us / would welcome us... because they need US influence to keep Turkey off of their backs... and Turkey needs the US there to try to stop Kurdish rebels from infiltrating Turkey and making trouble there. Well there you go! You do know that we do not need to occupy the base full time. Only an agreement to use it when necessary is required.
