I'm pretty sure Mars will be a Chinese colony. They just orbited some guys the other day.. rferl.org Which is really sad. After we reached the moon, I was sure we'd have had a colony there by now, and have already completed several manned missions to Mars by now. Once we "beat" the Russians, manned space exploration seemed to lose all value for us, and now the moment for us has passed. Good luck to the Chinese - they seem to have a much longer term plan than we do.
