Eric:

You correctly explained the result of a stock split - i.e. that you end up with twice as many shares as you had at half your original price and the market capitalization is exactly the same....but what is the difference in a 100% stock dividend as announced? A dividend is a distribution of money or shares (in this case shares) to existing shareholders as of a certain date (Sept. 25th). If the share value goes down by half, why don't they just call it a split?? There's got to be a reason for the differentiation. Anyone know?? RC
