I needed courage last Saturday racing on the Chesapeake in 35kt winds & 6-8ft seas.
Fortunately the race committee had more sense then our crew.(or they couldn't get an anchor to hold)
called the race 45 mins AFTER we reefed the Main...

It appears the investor class is getting shallow on liquidity, just like the Chesapeake. Shallow water consequently stirs seas much faster in an even mild storm, similar to the recent action in the markets.

The CNBC POM POM wavers are curiously not reporting (perhaps ignoring) the cratering of DJU & DJT.
They keep drinking the Kool-Aid the bosses pass around prior to air-time...
I'd do most anything to keep my job too.

They're laughing off the winter heating costs.
They've never cared about exponential auto fuel increases in a country that's 3500 miles wide x 2000 miles long?!?!?!
They ignore the coming deregulation of the electric utilities.
This will all precipitate into massive inflation at the Super-Market ie. increased costs in plastic containers and fertilizers to process our fruits and veggies.

Instead they promote Martha Stewart building homes with KB?!?!
But I kid CNBC, I love em...NOT

Just to put the nail in the coffin on a personal note:
my wife's Amtrak monthly ticket is going from $633 to $1008 on October 18.

That's right over $50.00 per day to get back and forth to work.
Many of her fellow monthly riders are quitting their jobs because $12,000.00
Not a misprint(Twelve Thousand Dollars) per year to get to work is a little to much for the average middle class citizen to swallow.
She does not make a boatload of money (a dinghy perhaps)
We have no kids.
She works in the textile industry.
there are no tex jobs left in Philly
NYC is soon to lose many of those same jobs to Hong Kong.
Our choices for her to pursue a career in that field are limited at best.

Stagflation is a mere memory America.
Can you say Depression?

I see it on the horizon.

Someone better take those Rose colored glasses off of AG & GWB's face.

We can't all be in the oil and military biz getting rich.
