Tamiflu isn't very effective, as shown by the death rates so far. I'm sure doctors in Vietnam have heard of Tamiflu and could get it.

Without Tamiflu, I'd say we'll be looking at the initial 70% death rate. Or worse as even some of those probably had Tamiflu too.

With half the world dead, it's going to leave a LOT of room for the rest to breathe easy. No traffic jams on the way to work. Empty apartments everywhere, though I suppose they'll simply fill up as people spread out and the crowded places empty a little to fill in the gaps.

I wonder if there's data on "no-Tamiflu" cases so far. Plus, data on "treated with Tamiflu". Suggestion was that Tamiflu isn't very effective on H5N1. Which means the shortage of it won't matter quite as much.
