"most people have to inherit it to become rich or richer.

There is nothing funny about your misconception. My father has long said, "Argue your limitations and they are yours."

Very few people become highly successful. That has always been true. It will always be true. Small minded people who think that is an excuse to not try deserve what they get.

"more of this nation's resources are falling into the hands of the very rich every year. The rich are getting richer at the expense of the middle class and the poor."

A young mind is a terrible thing to waste. It appears yours is wasted with misconceptions, partisanship, convenient memory and belligerence. As I pointed out in another post, every system in every society works in cycles. Resources of all kinds, natural, financial, intelligence, etc. tend to fluctuate. There are periods of concentration and there are periods of dissipation. A convenient metaphor for this action is the pendulum.

Wealth is not as concentrated as it was in the 18th century in America. A Billionaire is about as meaningful as millionaire was a hundred years before.
