We need to drill it down a little futher, Unk. They are "Militant Islamists." Their favorite method of warfare is "terrorism," but they also use all the other conventional ones. This gets rid of the "insurgents," etc, argument.

I like the term, "stinking jihadists!"

As in, "The stinking jihadists attacked us again."
