About a year ago I read a very heartfelt essay from an Iraqi who said exactly the same thing. In his words (speaking from memory), "This is our home. This is where we live. It is our children who are getting killed by the terrorists. What gives you the right to turn our home into your battle ground to solve your terrorist problems?"

I agree, but morality aside, the "bug zapper" only works if and only if it is killing more terrorists than it is producing...and I've seen no evidence that that is the case.
