DPI sheds "IRORI chemical synthesis systems business,
Crystal Farm automated protein crystallization business,
and the Universal Store compound storage systems business".

Not much changes on the books--for the first
six months of the year the loss changes to
19 cents--down from 23 cents. For all of last
year earnings are 13 cents, down from 15 cents.
I don't know a damn thing about accounting, so
search me why they retroactively change these
numbers.

Anyway, DPI still has access to any technology, and
gets in return a little less than 1.8 million. I didn't
notice how many employees DPI sheds, presumably DPI
is moving toward being a tool company and more of a
discovery company "by divesting our Discovery Systems
business, we will be better positioned to focus on our core
business. Over the past several months, Discovery Partners
has increased its emphasis on value added integrated drug
discovery collaborations and this action will allow us to
increase our investment in this direction."
