OT Hi Nancy,

The trade could have been closed out with a tidy profit for almost the entire duration of the put. I determined before I sold the put that if I could buy XLNX at $22.90 that would be compensation enough, and that is what I have done. So I am not exactly licking my wounds. Certainly it would have been better in retrospect to have taken the profit and then wait to buy the shares, but I couldn't have predicted that XLNX would become available at this price. Also it is sometimes difficult to buy something when almost everyone seems to want to sell. Selling naked puts removes you from this decision. The shares are out to you at the net price you yourself have selected, much like a longterm good until cancelled buy order. I stand by my decision and am happy to own XLNX at this price.

Sam
