Derek, IMO, the credentials should be formed from what a person does in their profession, and life, which comes after higher education. A graduate from high school is hardly mature at the time, and whoever, or whatever, they can become is not yet on the horizon. A graduate of any University is only 4 years older, and has learned a basic knowledge of his chosen field, but still has not yet proven that he can cut the mustard.
As far as the Supreme Court is concerned, I would prefer someone like a country judge, that cares only about what is right, and what is wrong, with the absence of politics. The Supreme Court has so fouled the Constitution, that it no longer functions the way our founding fathers intended it. The words of the authors of the Constitution, have been twisted, warped, turned upside down, and totally changed over the years until the Constitution is nothing but a damaged ship of state, and in the process of sinking to the bottom of the sea. |
