If you care about beating radical Islam, then ask yourself why after four years Osama and his buddies are still at large, even though we once had them trapped at Tora Bora. Also realize what a huge conflict of interest it is for us to be paying the Saudis hundreds of billions for oil some of which they siphon to the radical groups like Al Qaida as a kind of bribe. And who is more in with the Saudis than Bush-Cheney and the Carlyle Group themselves?

Also, ironically, it was the Islamic Mujeheddin who (with our help) beat the Soviets in Afghanistan. Many consider that the turning point for the fall of Soviet communism. Osama was likely trained and armed by us during this war. Out of the CIA in Texas to be more precise.

Some experts note that we only get terrorist attacks when we are occupying the terrorists homeland. There may be truth in that. After the Gulf War we left secret bases in Saudi Arabia and Osama knew about it. That was one of the main reasons he turned against us. Before that he was on our side against the Soviets. Now we are occupying Iraq and guess what, terrorism up 400%. Hmm. If we pull out maybe it will all stop.
