In addition to Tamiflu and one of the amantadines (flumadine seems to have much lower side effects) you might consider getting a small boat that you could carry on top or behind your car, and some paddles - possibly muffled with blankets in Massachuchtes tradition. Getting a night vision device - most marine stores have them - might be a good idea too. Then a drive around the river areas ahead of time could be useful. You may want to leave, or bring some one in. Or bring food in. I'm in the middle of Silicon Valley, so I am hosed...
