One can imagine a plausible future matriarchal society. Not so plausible but possible is a society with no males at all. I recall my reaction to the first test-tube baby--that there was no longer a physical necessity for men in society. It could come to pass that men are deemed more trouble than they are worth. It would be interesting to see thoughtful (without the feminist hostility) speculations from various experts on what that might be like. Strictly for those few of us who savor thought experiments and abstractions, of course. <g>
