At 8.33, German's rate is at or slightly below replacement. At 9.07, the Czech Republic is below replacement.

No. Germany has more in-migration. People like you are making the difference.

The relatively high recent Swedish rate is the result of a successful government program, where the Swedes get a government sponsored economical incentive if they have the 2nd kid within 2 or 3 years - forgot which - after the first.

BTW, the quite high US birth rate, any data how that is distributed between the different ethnic and colored groups?


The CIA site did not give a break down but I know from other demograhic studies that the birth rate is lowest among whites although still above replacement and the highest among Latinos.
