That's probably an accurate description. The religious left has not felt it had to fight battles as such, with abortion being legislated from the bench not a problem for them. Same with gay marriage ,etc. The left does not feel embattled, nor that the constitution is being abused to their disadvantage. However, they see the right winning adherents with their arguments regarding lifestyle issues.
