NAZI LEBENSBORN
hyperbooks.com
There were two aspects - breeders and mass kidnaping.
Lebensborn breeding houses bred carefully selected unmarried teenage "Aryan" girls to carefully selected young "Aryan" SS men. The babies were taken from the mothers at birth, physically examined by Lebensborn doctors, defectives killed and the healthy ones given to "Good Nazis." After the war, a secretive organization of ex-SS men and Lebensborn breeders began searching for the children they made.
Lebensborn took every child from every Jew, partisan and every blond, blue-eyed child they could snatch in the conquered lands. That is why you see so few young children in Holocaust photos.
Those who met the Nazi's "Aryan" criteria were given to "Good Nazis" for adoption. The rest were killed or, if they were old enough, sterilized and used for slave labor.
Lidice Is worthy of special note. When the Nazis killed every resident, leveled the town and ate a picnic on the mound, they saved a group of "Aryan" girls who were forced to watch their families killed and their homes leveled. Then they were given to "Good Nazis" who told them how lucky they were to be saved to make babies for the Fatherland.
WW2 ended, the girls were freed and returned to Lidice. They run the Lidice Museum, showing the Nazi picnic film daily. It includes the killings of their families.
The best Lebensborn sources are: Of pure Blood Videotape, same name by Hillel & Henry (McGraw Hill, 1976) Video available from the bigger video rental/purchase stores.
It is the best researched source for Lebensborn. Contains the story of Lidice, the ruling in Nuremberg Trial no 8 that called such mass kidnaps "a crime against humanity" and statements about the U.S., Britain and Canada re-snatching Lebensborn children and giving them to Allied military personnel to raise. I have talked to two of them myself.
The Tragedy of Children Under Nazi Rule by Sosnowski (Fertig, 1983.) Good source, but not as good as Of Pure Blood.
Videotape, Hitler's Master Race Contains actual Lebensborn snatch in Poland and other offensive Nazi racial bigotry.
Deliver Us From Evil TV program, 20/20, August 9, 1991. Jewish children given to Christians to save them from Holocaust and Lebensborn. Few have been recovered. Most have been legally adopted as "abandoned by their parents," the records that would trace them sealed or destroyed in the country of adoption.
