So it sounds like poor execution of a good idea in Texas. I think standardized tests should be mandatory in public schools, and teachers who's children have a poor record of passing the test should be fired. The details of how to implement that system need to be worked out to avoid whatever these problems are that occurred in Texas, but the concept sounds great to me.

How about you - don't you think poor teachers should be removed from their position?
