SEZ Index, weekly chart stockcharts.com[l,a]waclnnay[de][pb39][iUyb20,2.0!Lp13,3,3]&pref=G Comparing the April low to the (tentative) October low, strong performance of SEZ is evident. In this week's "Plugged In" column, Michael Kahn of Barron's examines relative performance of the SEZ, SDL and SOX indexes since the July peak, i.e. over approximately a half-cycle. He states that the SEZ "has been the worst performer in the semiconductor arena" over this period. I'm not overly concerned yet, since any high-beta group by its nature will underperform if one measures only the down portion of a cycle.
