I can empathize with Nagin.

No one, certainly not me, can accurately describe the extent of the required clean-up. To say that it is a massive undertaking does not do justice to the scope of the task.

It is ENORMOUS.

Simply disposing of the ruined refrigerators will be daunting. Can you conceive of how difficult it is going to be to get rid of literally hundreds of thousands of the damned things? They are bulky, heavy, and a truck can only carry so many of them.

Then there's the rest of the stuff. Millions and millions of tons of it.

I think it is going to take a couple of years just to get rid of the junk, even if no other catastrophes befall us. Tourists are not going to want to come to junk-ridden city.
