clearly if there are undetected cases in profusion (as Elroy insists properly that there likely are) then the rate is no wheres close to 50-70%. Indeed, there is considerable evidence based on surveys in China, that large numbers of people show evidence of immunity to h5...if so, then this is likely to be much less deadly than we have heard so far.
