1. Wrong. You don't remember history. There was almost a decade between the first WTC attack and the second. The number of terrorist attacks worldwide has increased with the largest increase being, of course, Iraq. Attacks on our people, our equipment, our installations in Iraq (along with the UN, embassies and other groups) are attacks ON US.
2. Afghanistan. Not Iraq. BTW Afghanistan now gets 50% of its GDP from HEROIN. It produces nearly 90% of the world's supply.
3. The British military wants to pull its troops from Iraq to help quell civil war in Afghanistan. In that, the British are more realistic about Afghanistan than the Bushies are. The Bushies are going after 'terrorism' in Afghanistan but ignoring civil war, heroin production, war lords and general mayhem.
4. Define Islamo-Fascism and compare that to AmericanFundamentalistFascism which is the ideology of the Republican party.
5. Also wrong. Libya had been negotiating for a decade and, in 2002, agreed to provide compensation for Lockerbie. THAT's a big deal.
6. The rightwing is an evil mess but it's not meaningless since it steals elections and then taxes and steals from the American public.
8. Clinton did not see Saddam as an imminent threat. Neither did Bush. This is what you repeatedly fail to understand. The Bushies LIED-LIED-LIED about Iraq because they had no reason to attack Iraq.
If they had reason to attack Iraq, they wouldn't have had to lie.
The weapons inspectors accounted for Saddam's weapons. They destroyed them....in the 1990s. Iraq, Saddam or his minions, didn't come out and say he had no weapons because Iraq shares a border with unfriendly Iran....remember?
If oil prices had been this high during Saddam's rule, he wouldn't have wanted to invade anyone. Bush Sr. watched mindlessly while Saddam prepared to invade Kuwait and told him, point blank, that the US would do nothing if he did.
Bush Sr. also watched mindlessly while Saddam's armed choppers mowed down the Shiite rebellion that Bush Sr. had publicly encouraged them to mount.
Oh yeah, one major reason Iraq went to war in Kuwait was to get the price of oil up and refill its coffers depleted by the US encouraged war against Iran. Iran thanks the US for being so amazingly ridiculous and toppling its enemy from Baghdad.
