"And" Mike, NT 4.0 Enterprise is going to ship next week, "and" MSFT
is pulling a "reverse-coup" with DEC and friends on SUNW to get SUNW
to allow Java to be a 100% child of an International Standards
Organization (heh, heh -- talk about the pot calling...), claiming
SUNW has a proprietary hold on the API (heh, heh). So what happens to
Eric (Java) Schimdt's visions at Novell, when if you believe what
Steve Ballmer says today in one of the rags (to paraphrase) Java is/
will crash and burn, and there are less downloadable applets now than
there were a year ago ... blah, blah. I ask again, like yesterday --
Chris Stone/John Slitz -- Whatta' ya' gonna do? I know, maintain the
existing base (like OS/2), cash in your options, and then take a hike!
Jerry H. Give it up. LOGIC dictates "FLAT REVENUES" at best for NOVL..
