People dislike Bush because he's an incompetent liar, thief and n'er do well who is both dangerous and damaging to this country. Why do you like him?

I don't know what will happen to Iraq and, of course, neither does the Bush administration since it stated that the end of major combat operations were over 2 and a half years ago. OOOPS.

My speculation is that the insurgency would have had the air taken out of it if the Constitution failed. That would mean that Iraq protected its minority Sunni population and that the political system would work for them. As it was, the last minute shennanigans by the Shiites to redefine how votes were counted spoke volumes about how they would wield power.

This is not promising either: Iraq vote counts 'point to fraud'http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/4351680.stm

You should have higher expectations for those supposedly leading the world's last remaining superpower. I think that's really what's wrong with the rightwing: you guys have no standards so you easily accept all manner of immoral, unethical and grossly incompetent behavior as long as it's clothed in a blow dried Republican shell.
