Rick is very personable and unassuming
in person--but woe to he who spams his
stock symbol on the TFIF thread!)

I have a couple of good foot in mouth stories.
The Seattle Times once quoted me as saying
"The fourth of July is a great time to have
the fourth of July". Of course what I meant
to say was that the holiday comes at the
climatologically favorable time of year for
Seattlites.

Another work related one that went badly
"the snow will not accumulate"

I got grief in High School for dropping
a cube of "hot ice". I still maintain that
the ice coming of the hot plate, did have
a thin layer of hot water on it.

Probably have forgot the best anectodes--
I vaguely remember something I said about
the earth's axis that did not work out too well...
