It's really not surprising to see posters such as yourself on this thread, looking for any reason to denigrate and oppose a great achievement like the recent democratic vote in Iraq.

Actually, I expected it. This post is one in a long serious of leftist posters who reach as far as possible toward the sad abyss and attempt to give aid and comfort to terrorists, instead of aligning themselves with democratic movements and the people who struggle toward freedom. My assumption is you take for granted the sacrifices people made before you which granted you the freedom to post on this board. Something those living under Saddam's reign of terror could never do.

I realize you wish the democratic vote went horribly in Iraq (just so you could throw more mud at the Bush you hate), but the truth is the voting process exceeded even the most optimistic expectations. 9 million Iraqi's voted, a greater percentage than America or most of the democratic world. And whether they approved of the constitution or not, is not what was important, what was important was they felt their vote counted enough to walk miles in order to cast their vote.

In the heart of the Middle East a new democracy is coming to life, and it's sad to see so many in America and other free nations not only not supporting it, but looking for any reason to undermine its success.
