Why are you defending the villainous gas-gougers? Exxon made 40 billion in profit last year. That's the biggest profit ever made by any corp in the history of the planet by far and no coincidence is was while two Texas oilmen were in power in the WH and another Texas oil pimp running congress. I say we tell Exxon to give 20% of that to the federal treasury to pay for the war which made Exxon richer. Why not? Windfall profits taxes, baby. Quit parroting the oil lobbyist PR liars. What makes you think Gates is a liberal? Microsoft has given huge amounts to Bush and Delay. They are trying to buy protecting against monopoly legislation. Gates has never given big to any liberal causes. Halliburton stock is up 500% under Bush-Cheney. They were given over 10 billion in no-bid contracts and have ripped the taxpayers off right and left. 3% my butt. I wouldn't trust Halliburton accounting if my life depended on it. They have a long history of subterfuge, tax evading, cheating, lying and gouging.
