Gerrymandering is a terrible crime.

That is why I support the reform effort in CA and the one in OH.

I don't care which political party's goose gets cooked in the short run... that doesn't matter to me. What matters is that the evil of gerrymandering be ended.

PS, IMO Iowa has probably the fairest system for reapportionment in all the 50 states. A non-partisan commission of retired judges draws the political districts --- but they can't just make it up as they go along, they must follow three strict rules:

1) districts of as close to equal population as possible.

2) districts as geographically compact as possible (no long meandering districts).

3) except when required by the above two rules, counties are never to be divided.

No other rules are allowed to be used... no consideration of political registration, race, economic status, etc.
