Showcase to Highlight Innovative Developments in Nanotechnology

SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- SEMI, the NanoBusiness Alliance
and Small Times Media today announced the first Emerging NanoBusiness Showcase
(ENBS), which will be held in conjunction with the NanoCommerce/SEMI NanoForum
in Chicago's McCormick Place, November 1-3. The ENBS is a novel conference
platform that combines technical content and company presentations by 20
jury-selected participants. The objective of ENBS is to introduce
revolutionary technologies, innovative applications and compelling
commercialization strategies while providing presenters with increased

Companies chosen to participate in the ENBS were qualified by a
distinguished panel of experts and business leaders, including venture
capitalists and corporate business development executives, from companies such

Deloitte Services, among others.
"Over the past five years, there has been an overwhelming surge in
nanotech research and development, and now companies are beginning to
introduce revolutionary and viable nanotechnologies to market," said Robert D.
"Skip" Rung, president and executive director at the Oregon Nanoscience and
Microelectronics Institute. "I am excited to be part of an event that is
responsible for uniting the foremost global nanotechnology business and
technology leaders in the spirit of collaboration and innovation."
