1. AQ has spread to some 40 countries. That's an increase under Bush. 2. The Taliban actually kept a lid on opium production. When the Taliban fell farmers ripped up their wheat fields and planted poppies. The problem with Afghanistan is the problem in Iraq. Bush toppled a third world government, declared victory and left a power vacuum. 3. The Brits already announced, though not widely reported here obviously, that they were pulling back out of Iraq by rotating troops out and not putting fresh ones in. I don't know what the problems in Basra are doing to their plans. It's not a popular war with their public either and, after all, they are supposed to be a democracy. 4. Yeah and the neonazis want the US to become an all-caucasian country. So what? Who says they get what they want just because they want it? 5. For the umpteenth time, the situation with Libya had been going on for A DECADE. This was long before Bush came into office, took gross advantage of 911, lied about WMDs and invaded Iraq for revenge, privatization of oil and reelection. How can Iraq be the reason for Libya when Libya started LONG BEFORE BUSH INVADED IRAQ? You don't make a lick of sense. 6. Moore, Sheehan and Clark et al are very much patriotic Americans in the same vein as Franklin, Jefferson and Washington. 8. Bush LIED - LIED - LIED about WMDs in order to gain support for the war. Now you guys allow him to blame those he duped in order to escape 100% of the responsibility? Why won't you guys ever take responsibility for any of your actions? Sanctions would have been lifted over time. That's what you guys keep yelling about isn't it? You can't reverse that argument to support your position now. Saddam didn't have to lie about anything. His intentions were WELL KNOWN which is why Bush Sr said we wouldn't get involved in arab-to-arab conflicts. If he didn't think Saddam had violent intentions, he wouldn't have said that. Bush Sr.'s allowing for the armed choppers AND his encouragement for rebellion are HIS CHOICES. Stop shifting the blame to others.
