It doesn't. The Thread is about Collapse and Beyond. hence the collapse of the US auto industry is de rigueur. Thanks for your analysis of the plight of GM.

My interest on automakers is the following: Auto production will desert the US and will move to China, Brazil and other countries.

Similarly to consumer electronics, cameras, optics, motorcycles, etc etc... Now it is time for the auto industry move abroad.

My eyes are not in the rear mirror. Nor even in the windscreen. It is the radar screen. Curitiba is a town where the auto industry has settled and I invest in real estate there. Hence I want to know, in 10/15 years time how much the auto industry to has the potential to grow.

Knowing the Art of the Long View is good.

As for my level of knowledge I don't have to prove it to you. I don't call anyone an idiot. I wait until my analysis prove it without me telling.
