Like everyone here, I love the split, BUT realistically it really isn't much more than psychological. More shares at a lower price will generate more volume activity.

Not much else changes. AMAT needs to meet or exceed earnings expectations for the price to move before or after the split. A generalization is that stocks usually move up after a split. Let's hope so with AMAT.
