41% may look like a big number to you and maybe some people even voted against it because of the number, but when you look at the top income end compared to the lowest end, that small amount makes a much bigger difference to them than a tax break does to the top end or even the so-called middle class. And besides, denying the lowest wage earners in the entire country some measure of the benefits that have accrued to the capital class is what some people call "financing the deficit on the backs of the poor." And that's exactly what the our compassionate conservative leaders are doing.
