Well, you were right on que. Now to discuss credabillity....

When last you posted you attacked IAI on the basis of loss of the US Customs contract. You thought that somehow this implied poor work or poor performance on the part of IAIC.

Guess what, youve been busted pal.

I have called the US Customs contracting office. I have verified that there was no poor performance on the part of Information Analysis leading to loss of this contract. I spoke to the Federal Government's warranted contracting officer responsible for awarding the new contract. His name is Terry Lew.

He assured me that poor performance was in no way involved. He stated that the change of contractor was a simple recompete, nothing more. You see, the federal government is constrained by policy to recompete contracts after 4 to 5 years. Longer contracts in the services area are thought to deter free competition. At the end, a contract is 're-competed' and a new award is granted. No bias toward the incumbent is allowed in most instances.

In fact in this case the government allowed IAI to stay on durring a period of time where the award was protested. IAI, as is almost customary in such things, protested the award to the new vendor to assure that it was in order. IAI stayed on over a half-year extra while the protest was in effect. This 'bridge' is not commonly allowed if a contractor was deemed in any way unsatisfactory.

To seal your obvious exposure as a liar, let me tell you that to this very day many IAI employees remain at customs, including some managers, as IAI is a sub-contractor to the new prime. This is because IAI's employees were good folks, and good people genneraly find a place in the new contract. That very last is a close paraphrase of Mr. Lew.

FACE IT PAL...YOU WERE WRONG AGAIN.

The contracting office of US Customs may be reached at 202-927-0598. Please don't bother them unless you are convinced I am not right here... these people have work to do. They are busier than you may think, contracts offices are hard working places.
